1. About Longevity Signal
Longevity Signal is a health and wellness application designed to help adults organize and understand information related to activity, sleep, nutrition, bloodwork, cardiometabolic health, and lifestyle and wellbeing factors.
Longevity Signal is intended for adults aged 18 years or older. Its health models and evidence framework are designed for adult health information and are not intended or validated for pediatric use.
2. Information you provide
Depending on the features you choose to use, Longevity Signal may process information you provide directly, including:
- Account information, such as your email address.
- Health-profile information you enter.
- Tobacco and alcohol information.
- Stress and resilience check-ins.

3. Apple Health information
With your permission, Longevity Signal may read health and fitness information through Apple Health that is relevant to features you choose to use, including information used for activity, sleep, and supported health measurements.
Longevity Signal only accesses Apple Health categories for which you grant permission through iOS.
Apple Health information is used to calculate and present health signals, summaries, trends, evidence quality, and related app functionality.
You can change or revoke Apple Health permissions through your device settings.
4. How we use information
Longevity Signal processes information to provide and operate features including:
- Health-signal summaries.
- Your Longevity Signal and supporting evidence indicators.
- Progress and longitudinal trends.
- Activity and sleep analysis.
- Nutrition and meal analysis.
- Bloodwork organization and interpretation.
- Cardiometabolic context.
- Tobacco and alcohol signals.
- Stress and resilience signals.
- Social-connection signals.
- Personalized explanations and relevant next-step suggestions.
- Account authentication, security, and operation of the service.
Longevity Signal uses evidence-informed health models and deterministic rules for core health classifications and scoring.
5. AI-assisted features
Laboratory reports
When you choose to upload a laboratory report, report content may be securely transmitted from Longevity Signal's backend to OpenAI for structured extraction.
This may include information contained in the report, such as biomarker names, results, units, dates, and other information visible in the uploaded document.
Meal photographs
When you choose to analyze a meal photograph, the photograph may be securely transmitted from Longevity Signal's backend to OpenAI for visual food observation.
The AI component is used to identify visible foods and observable meal characteristics. It does not independently assign your Longevity Signal score or determine whether a meal is healthy or unhealthy.
Health explanations
Longevity Signal may use OpenAI to help explain structured findings produced by Longevity Signal's health models.
The underlying classifications, evidence grades, priorities, and health-model results are determined before this explanation step. The AI explanation layer is not permitted to independently diagnose conditions or override those deterministic results.
6. Service providers
Supabase
Supabase is used for services including account authentication, database functionality, storage, and other backend infrastructure.
OpenAI
OpenAI is used for limited AI-assisted features including laboratory-report extraction, meal-photo observation, and explanation of structured health findings.
Information is provided to these services only as needed to operate the relevant Longevity Signal feature.
Longevity Signal does not currently include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
7. Health information and advertising
Longevity Signal does not sell your health information.
Longevity Signal does not use your health information for third-party advertising.
Longevity Signal does not currently display third-party advertising within the app.
8. Storage and local caching
Longevity Signal is not an entirely on-device service.
Account-linked information may be stored using Longevity Signal's backend infrastructure in order to provide features such as health history, progress tracking, meal logging, laboratory results, and health-signal calculations.
Some information may also be cached locally on your device to improve app performance and loading times.
9. Data retention and deletion
Account-linked information is retained while necessary to provide Longevity Signal and while your account remains active, unless a different retention period is required for security, legal, or operational reasons.
When you delete your Longevity Signal account, the active account and associated account-linked data are deleted from Longevity Signal's application systems.
Residual copies may temporarily remain in routine service-provider backups until those backups expire or are overwritten in accordance with the service provider's backup and retention processes.
Locally cached health-summary information is cleared when you sign out or delete your account.
10. Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account from within Longevity Signal:
Profile → Privacy & your data → Delete account
Account deletion permanently removes your Longevity Signal account and associated active account data.
Deleting your Longevity Signal account does not automatically revoke Apple Health permissions maintained by iOS. Apple Health permissions can be managed separately through your device settings.
